We were assigned one cabinet within this large room of move-able flat files as our rehousing task. A survey of the museum's Asian paper-based collections was conducted in 2002 which outlined the recommended housing for these materials. ~w
This is the tediously detailed story of two conservation interns trying to make their way through a museum's vast treasury of Asian paper-based materials and their attempt to organize these items and nestle them down happily in their new homes of custom-made boxes, all the while hoping to increase their prospects for entrance into graduate programs in conservation. Whew.
